I just want to follow up on my new 2022 Ram 3500 Limited Turbo HO with 4:10 gear ratio! I now have 7000 miles on it and have made 3 trips towing my 2022 5th wheel Solitude 380 FL !! All I can say it is a “BEAST” The truck does not even know the 5th wheel is behind it. It rides very smooth and handles great!! Yes it could get better mileage/gal (16-17 with no load & 9-10.5 towing) BUT I don’t have to worry about my truck being UNDERPOWER I am extremely pleased with its performance & ride, if I had to buy another one I would order the same truck I set the cruise on 70 on the interstate & 55-60 on two lane roads (I use the tow haul all the time) and just set back and enjoy the ride and scenery See you on the road, MAYBE

My 2024 RAM 3500 DW with the standard diesel 3.73 gears 68RFE came in today and was wrecked getting it off the hauler. I declined to accept it of course and reordered the same truck but up graded to the HO engine with the Aisin AS69RC trans. My Brinkley 5th Z3100 weighs 12,000 empty, 15,000 loaded. Think the standard diesel is good or I have until tomorrow to finalize the upgrade.

You should be fine with the standard diesel. I used to pull a 42' toyhauler that had similar weights, with a 6.0 PSD, which had half the torque and 350 hp, and couldn't find a grade in my home state that I couldn't go up at or above the posted speed limit.
