Most larger tires need a wider rim than the stock 18x8’s on my 2016 2500 diesel.
I’ve got Toyo 285’s on them now (34.8 x 11.3) and they fit fine.
I put a 2” leveling kit with coils and now I think I have room for those Toyo 37’s. (36.5 x 12.5).
The rim range clearly states 8-10-12. Product # 356010.
Am I crazy to try this size tire on stock rims?? I wonder if I’ll need spacers or cut something back?
Thanks.

The stock offset wheels might not clear with the width of the new tire to steering knuckle without being spaced out. You'll have to measure to find the best answer.

It does say it will work with 8" wheels but I think I would go to a 9 just to feel more comfortable myself. As far as rub, Not sure? I know you can run a 12.5x35 but not sure about a 12.5x37? With only a 2" level I'm sure you will have to trim the wheel well at a minimum.

He'll just need to trim the front bumper possibly but not much. A level 2500 will clear 37's

Front bumper? Never seen anyone with a 2500 trim the front, it's always the back inside of the wheel well that needs trimming.

Got pics of the trimming needed on your 2500??

Granted my 1500 is lifted but I've never had to trim the rear fender area. I did have to trim my sport bumper to clear my 37's though

You can see where the cuts are in you look closely

I'm on 35's so no trimming on mine but everyone I know or have seen with 37's (and say less then 3" lift) has had to trim the rear inside. No trimming on the front at all.

1500 is a completely different truck so it's not going to be the same.

Great info! Thank you. I some how was still looking at this situation as a lifted platform. The 2500 leveled sits just about the same height as mine. I don't see to many lifted 2500's that aren't work truck builds also.

This was a neighbors 2500 leveled on 37's next to my 7" lifted 1500 on 35's. This photo was a couple months before I switched to the 37" ridge grapplers. Highly recommended!

Hello Surrel, I have some added info for you. When you leveled your truck did your steering wheel turn slightly to the left. If so you will need an adjustable track bar to push the axle back to the right about an inch. Also the trailing arms, the lower bolt should be turned 1 notch to the rear to help the caster return to a happy place. The caster info comes from Thuren.

So I put on the 37’s and they are awesome. Slight rubbing when wheel is cranked to the stops but I’m installing 1-1/2” spacers I’ll front and 2” spacers in the rear next week. I went with Nitto ridge grapplers as toyos are currently not available. Quiet on the road yet still had that aggressive look. My leveling kit is Bilstein coils and shocks - think it was the 5003 kit.84240C78-8A65-4DDB-A95E-84D15367FFCF.jpeg
