Ive looked around and found some info but can really figure out what my problem is. I have a 13 2500hd cummins. I just bought a set of used wheels in tires off a black out model ram, so they're the 20" black wheels with 285 60 tires. When i first put the wheel on everything was fine, but after driving for about 20 minutes the tams light come on and the its not seeing any of the tire pressures. I had no issues before i put the wheels on, the wheels i took off where the stock 17" with the 265 tires. I spoke to the guy i bought the wheels from and he assured me that the sensors where not removed on the wheels he sold me. What can the problem be? All the looking around I've done says the the tams should relearn. Its been 2 days and it hasn't yet. Could it have something to do with the different rim and tire size? I really like the way the wheels look on my truck. How do I fix this?

Not sure what the issue is.... most new TMPS issues people post about here are resolved after a few miles, so even though its been two days, I'm not sure how much you have actually driven. I would suggest going out and putting 40 miles on it and see if that triggers the re-learn.

If that doesn't work, you could always just replace the new sensors with your old ones.

When I had my new wheels installed they told me it would " learn after a few minutes. Well that never happened and it needed to go back to them for them to " learn it " to my truck. After that problem solved and I've been extremely happy ever since.

No, I went back to where I had the tires installed and they used a handheld machine to link the tpms sensors to my Ram. Did it free of charge.

Fyi,
What year was the truck that the wheels and tpms Sensors came from?

We know that there is some sort of change around 2014 where the Tpms sensors are not compatible with certain instrument clusters. Not sure if they changed the Tpms module (left front bumper area), the sensor PN's, the cluster or all of it around that time.

The ram body builder site will list the correct tpms Sensors under the wheel and tire section.

PS: when I swapped out my wheels I ordered new sensors for my 2013. Received the same pn but 2 different frequencies, 2 315mhz & 2 433mhz. Needed 433.

M² Mods - From my non Flammable S7!
