I bought my truck with this issue, figured it was just a sensor and didn't bother looking into it further. now i'm wishing i had. It always said my passenger rear tire wasn't reading.

I had my tires rotated at a different dealership, and the warning popped up, so i looked at the PSI readings, and even though the tires were rotated (i checked), it's still showing the PR tire is the problem.

So now it's not just one sensor, it's something different.. any ideas?

If the sensors were not programmed to their new location it might still tell you the same sensor has the issue even though it has moved to a new position

The tire shop should be able to program the sensors. If they are OEM sensors then it usually isn't needed.

Did you drive it at all after the rotation was done?

Yep! I have about 1k miles on it since the rotation and still nothing. I think i'm going to take it to a tire shop and have them check it out. it's just odd that it isn't a particular sensor, but it appears to be a passenger rear tire location issue?

You need to drive it several Kms for the sensors to reset to the location (10 - 20kms)

Well, that's more than enough miles for the stock system to respond and operate properly.

You have the sensor in the wheel and a receiver/transceiver at the wheel locations that is supposed to read the sensor as it spins past. I wonder if there isn't a connection issue or that little module has gone bad.

The TPMS on Ram and Jeep vehicles does not use receivers at the individual wheel locations. The RF hub receives the signal from the sensors and some software voodoo figures out where individual sensors sit. I remember reading it uses signal strength but there must be more to it. In any case if one sensor is not working it throws the location detection off. I know this because I had a defective sensor and moving the wheel from left to right didn't register just like in the OP's case.

Edit: From the 2014 Jeep JK FSM

so you're thinking it's just one sensor that is fubaring the entire system, but only listing the passenger rear as not reading?

I wouldn't call it fubared but the system wants to see 4 sensors before it does a relearn of them. Go to a tire place they have a tool that can figure out which wheel has the defective sensor. They typically have sensors at hand as well.

If you have the Alfaobd app you can try resetting the RFID hub.
