I was wondering if you run a larger tire and install new tire sensors, is there anything that you are required to do when installing the new sensors?

I put new sensors in mine when I went up from stock to 35" tires and it took about a block for the truck to learn them. On occasion, they need to be "turned on" with a little tool most all the tire guys have. I guess brand new, they are shut off to save the batteries. If you have it done at a tire shop, the guys usually know to do that.

Like Johnny Mac said it could take a block or two for the truck to learn the new sensors. The tire shop I had mine done at were having a difficult time with the sensors because their tool kept picking up the tpms in my old wheels but once I drove the truck automatically learned the new ones and I have had no issues at all. I’m running a 20x12 wheel wrapped in nitto ridge grappler 35x13.5r20.

The newer trucks will learn the new tpms if it’s a 2500/3500 and you use the tire manufacture air pressure rating then you may have the low tire light come on. And have to clear it every time you start the truck.
I’m running Nitto Terra Grappler G2’s 35-12.5/20 on RBP 20/10 -18 wheels
