That may be in your instance…. HOwever in MY case… MY Ram dealership lied that they could only source the part thru the warranty network…..

You misunderstood. Our experience is the same. I did my own investigation and found out the truth on my own, found the part on my own, and browbeat Stellantis into getting it fixed over the dealership's objections (I'm a Homicide LT and former detective, and persistent AF so when I figured out they were lying I started interviewing people without them realizing it. Found out lots of interesting things, all of it recorded, when people thought we were just having a friendly chat about how hard their job was to get things done...) My dealership did the same *until I got Ram's CEO's office involved* and that office got a transmission shipped in to my dealership.

I've got a recording of the service manager telling me the other dealership wouldn't sell them the transmission, and then us calling the dealership on my cell phone and them confirming they would. (Like a good detective, I knew the answer before I asked the question)

I've got a real nice recording of the franchise owner being a total **** but giving me a rental car as a hostage so "we can be friends".

The *reason* they lie to you about no parts available is the above post.
