I just purchased a set of these, and installed them on my truck today. Pretty impressed with the quality, fit and finish is good, and they seem to work fairly similar to factory as far as mechanics go.

Anybody have any experience with them?

Have they held up good?

I got a lightly used pair a few months back. Very happy with them so far. Nice product.

I've been looking for factory takeoffs there were power fold, heated etc ...... Haven't been able to find any, not a easy find as far as the factory ones go. so I figured I would give these a shot, being that I had a broken mirror to replace anyway. I'm very impressed with the quality initially. Hope they hold up well, they look great

Me and my son both got the power fold tow mirrors from them. No issues. My passenger side mirror does fold slightly faster but other than that they are fine...lol. We both got them back around last December

The brackets are for the heavier tow mirrors but I guess you could use them on the regular mirrors but don't really need them. I have heard of some not using them for the tow mirrors either with no vibration issues but we both installed the brackets too. 1A doesn't sell the brackets. I got mine from @AllMoparParts on here. They are L shaped steel brackets that go behind your door panel to add stiffness to the mounting point.

Yup, I looked for factory takeoffs as well and couldn't find them either aside from crash parts on eBay that I wasn't willing to gamble on for the crazy prices they were asking. I had factory tow mirrors but wanted power fold for the carwash so I didn't need the bracket.

I've had their tow mirror version on my truck for almost 2 years. They've been great. I recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade.

Good experience here as well. Added them to my 2014 and my 2018. Only had one issue and it was the driver side stopped folding out all the way. Quick call to Am Auto and they sent out a replacement under warranty.

If you are installing regular mirrors then no but if you are installing the tow mirrors then I would install the brackets. A few on here have installed the tow mirrors without the brackets and said it was fine but like was posted above, the factory put them on there for a reason.
Check with @AllMoparParts.com for the brackets, riv-nuts, and bolts. He is a member here and will fix you up probably cheaper than you will find anywhere else. I think I got everything for about $70. The riv-nuts aren't cheap

Here's the bracket info from when I did mine:

Right Bracket - 68078242AA
Left Bracket - 68078243AA
Nut Rivit (6) - 6507161AA
Bracket Screw (6) - 6508709AA

You'll also need a Rivnut setting tool. If you've done the DZ Tailgate Assist then the one it comes with works (although I killed it doing the mirrors)

You really do want the brackets for the tow mirrors. They prevent the door skin from buckling if someone (small child, parking lot a$$hole, etc) pulls down on the mirror.

You can probably get by without the riv-nut tool. The holes in the door are hexagon and the riv-nuts are also hexagon. I had the tool from the tailgate kit and used it too but the riv nut might stay in place since it's hex shaped.
