Hey all, just picked up a Big Tex 22gn 35+5 trailer. My truck is a 2012 3500 Lonestar and it has the integrated brake controller. Last night before I picked up the trailer it started showing "CF" with a trailer and exclamation point. When I yank the break away pin, it changes to "56." The trailer lights are on and everything else works except the brakes. I scanned the codes and got a new one, U0137. Anyone ever had this problem?

i've been having a similar problem when my truck camper is plugged into the truck.it only seems to give wierd codes when the plug gets wet.it beeps and gives a 56 code then switches to "trailer unplugged, check connection"or something along those lines.it's going into the dealers before spring to get sorted out while still under warranty.

New development:

Went to get the trailer DOT inspected yesterday. Inspector helped me diagnose the problem and it turns out with the trailer plugged in, the brake lights on the trailer AND truck stay on. I unplugged the brake controller and the brake lights went off but everything else worked properly including the trailer brake lights. That leads me to believe it's a short inside the factory controller. I have a Tekonsha P3 coming in the mail today and I'll post again once I see what that does.

EDIT: Turns out the factory brake controller was the source of the short. Plugged in the Tekonsha P3 and everything works great. Case closed.
