Trailer brake settings.

Hey guys I have tried to set my trailer brake to heavy electric because it feels like I need a little more brake when pulling a car it's not to bad and doesn't feel unsafe. I have a express with the 3.5 evic and the Uconnect 5.0 I can pull up the trailer brake menu but it doesn't give me and options I have hit every button on the wheel and the only adjustment is the gain up or down. Can someone help walk me through this? I would run it by my dealer but they are 45 min a away. I am pretty savy with electronics and I am either over thinking it or I actually have some kind of program error.

Would be in the stereo..i think the 5.0 is uconnect also (only if thats the case)? I have the 8.4 and the 3.5 evic and it gets controlled through the touch screen.

I don't have the 8.4 just the 5.0 my only controls are in the dash.

F me I'm eating crow now... Good thing I'm good with a grill. It's under settings in the stereo... I'm not sure how I missed it but thanks guys. Pissed my wife off getting out of bed to go tinker with my truck but atleast I'll get some sleep now

Edit: I just couldn't get passed the fact it wasn't in the dash... These trucks just keep getting smarter and smarter.. Guess that means no aftermarket stereo... Not that I need one but I would lose a lot of features.

Glad you found- because after doing some reading apparently some guys with the 5.0 don't have it in there either and had to get a flash done.

Tell your wife we're sorry- and if it makes her feel any better, I do that to my wife all the time.

I read the same thing some of the guys installing it and not having it from the factory have had issues with it but according to my window sticker it was a factory option so I just couldn't figure it out.

My wife is fine she's already passed back out

I came across a thread on here where a guy with an 8.4 could select heavy but it just said light on the evic...one needed a flash and it worked but didnt on another lol...was about to post the link lol
