An getting a trailer disconnected warning. Its intermittent and happens without a trailer hooked up. Thought it was a wet weather problem but now does it anytime. Had it in for warranty work and it was on the list. They said that it was in the trailer or I was unhooking when the truck was running. Told them that it happens without a trailer hooked up and still get told of unhooking when running remark. Service department will not listen to the problem. It can happen 6 time in a day. Shutting off the truck and restarting helps some times. 2019 2500 diesel with 11,000 miles. Anyone have any ideas. Not impressed with my dealer sales or there service department,

I have a 2019 Bighorn Gas, and that only happens when I unhook while the truck is running. Better find another dealer....

Sucks that your dealer is not listening.

The trailer connection is made with the trailer brake signal.

So I would check to see if the trailer brake wire is making ground somewhere.

Do you just have the plug at the bumper, or do you have the 5th wheel plug in the bed too?
