I would be looking back by the bumper at the wiring / connectors and fuse panel (for blown fuses).
When I got my truck, they didn't work either. Don't know about the 07, but my '16 needed some functions turned on in the body computer with the AlfaOBD for all the turn / brake to work when I installed the OEM brake controller.
In CBC Config I/O:
Connector E Pin 23: Trailer Backup Lamps Output Present: Yes
Connector E Pin 24: Trailer Tail Lamp Relay Control Output Present: Yes
Connector F Pin 36: Trailer Turn Stop Relay Control Left Output Present: Yes
Connector E Pin 22: Trailer Turn Stop Relay Control Right Output Present: Yes
