Does anyone know or have any experience with train horns? I was looking into getting one of the Shocker train horn kits from HornBlasters. Train Horn & Air Horn Kits from HornBlasters.com. I was wondering what the best places to mount the tank would be to be as hidden as possible. Read somewhere they someone had it connected to their frame, would that be a possibility? Any input is helpful. Thanks.

I actually looked into to them. You can find some on ebay that are pretty damn good.

I was going to get mypushcart's version if I were to get one. They give differences in their competitors products and they are made and shipped out of the us. Pretty good deal for them too. Im waiting till the summer. Best mount is behind the grill on the bar, its perfect. You could mount it other places. Get one with a small tank, and good parts. You can even find some that have a feature so you can use them to fill other accessories.

I second the nod for mypuchcart.com.I did 2 GP`s of 12 sets of horns through Sam there.I got the Kleinn 3 horn setup with a Viar 480 C compressor ,1.5 gallon tank mounted under the air dam. I went with 1/2" lines and a 200 psi pressure switch. For the highest decibels you have to go with the 1/2 inch line.Mine tested out at 157 db.

I have an extra train horn lever to bypass the electronic solenoid for even more sound. This is an actual lever off a CSX train .New in box with fittings $100.00.

Thanks guys, the plan is to mount the horns behind the grille, just have to figure out where to put the tank, would rather not have it just sitting out in my bed if at all possible. I'll look into mypushcart and see what all it has to offer. Thanks again!

I have seen a tank mounted under the passenger side on the inside of the frame. Was barely noticeable from the picture, and im sure itd be easy to find longer tubes to mount it there. Tried to find the picture but no luck :/

Yeah, that's what I'm looking to try to do, would rather it be hidden as to not take up bed space, and so somebody can't decide they want an air tank.

What about opposite from the gas tank? It might take some clever routing for your exhaust.

I have this horn on my bike and it is loud, I have another for my truck but it isn't installed. All I can say is this bad boy is 139db loud. And it is easy enough to install.

Would have to go take a look at that. Haha. The exhaust came with the truck, it starts as a true dual with two cats, but then the two pipes converge together into one muffler, and split off to a y pipe at the end. Kinda odd and was thinking about getting it changed. I'll take a picture under neath there and post it here as I have no idea what I'm doing still. Just know the few basics.

Not trying to talk you out of a train horn, but the Stebel horn which is a air horn with a built in pump, as long as you directly wire (fused) to battery this baby is nose bleed loud. I have had dump trucks jump out of the way and a poor old lady wet herself at Walmart, which was actually a mistake as I was honk'n at a car backing up and not her. A friend of mine has his horn wired up to a remote control, which could just as easy to wire to your alarm. But his is great fun, when folks get close to his bike he'll blast them before they actually touch the bike. Confuses the **** out of them...

No doubt they thought it was a ship distress signal. Back in the day I was riding a motorcycle down coastal road between Santa Cruz and San Francisco where they have coastal fog horns. These suckers are like 4 feet across mount on the side of the road. One sounded as I went by and it scared the **** otta me, I thought I was about be run over by something really BIG.
