Trans leveling for fluid check

When checking fluid level on 2004 dodge ram 1500 5.7. Do I lift the rear to make the pan level? I have a lift kit 4.5 in front and 2 inch blocks in back.

It's only the 8 speed that needs to be levelled,your truck should still have a transmission dipstick.

@Wild one … Yes it does but with the front being lifted does that make a difference? trans is tilted even further back than stock. Which front of truck is usually tilted down in front on stock dodge trucks.

as long as the oil is in the appropriate range when hot and cold you are golden brother

Put trucks in N with engine running when you check fluid.
