1) what size hex head bit for the fill and drain plugs? 9mm?

2) any tips to getting these ******** out??!!! Frickin wedged in there!!

3) is there a replacement EXTERNAL plug replacement (such as your oil drain plug?) Do NOT want to round this sucker off trying to remove it and an external type plug would solve that.

Thanks

Should be 10. I used a T-handle with no issues.

EDIT: Just noticed yours is a 09. Mine is a 07 so it might be different.

I’m gonna try a heat gun to loosen these suckers up.

I think It might be a 10mm

Have you soaked them in PB Blaster? Are you using a T handle or a wratchet?

Have not used PB blaster

Was using a ratchet. Will see if I have a T-handle. Will that make that much difference over ratchet?

I don't think so. LOL

I'd try PB Blaster or another spray before heating though.

Well stripped it out (fill plug). It was kinda iffy to begin with (on its way to being stripped out)

Went to a transmission repair shop and had them extract it and weld on an external bolt. $30 bucks and half hour job.

Had them crack the seal on the drain plug too so I could easily service the case myself.

2 quarts of Royal Purple added and all done. Good for another 60k or so
