I'm new here, so I hope I am doing this correctly.

I have a 2010 Ram 2500 4WD with the 6.7 Cummins Diesel. I have started doing my own maintenance. I am wondering if anyone has advice on Mopar Transmission Filter kits vs. a 3rd party kit. I see a Doc's Diesel brand on Amazon and it has good reviews, but I'm not sure. My local Dodge dealer is so overpriced on parts, I hate going to them. Any experience or advice would be great.

I'd recommend staying with the OEM MOPAR filter & fluid.
Best insurance IMPO.

Also, look up the filter/fluid change process and follow to a "T".
There could be specifics relating to doing this vs the old days when one just dropped the pan, etc.

Example: the 8spd transmissions in our trucks have a very specific filter & fluid replacement process that must be done to ensure a proper & level fill ;)

You have the 545 rfe, this is what you need, it has to be this one others fir loose.

You will need to have 8 quarts on hand for filter drop and fill, I'd use redline c+ if I were you and I do use that in my 2010. Alternatively any atf4. You need a Mopar sump filter with the pink/purple valve visible on black side, it really needs to be Mopar, now spin on you can have alternatives. The Mopar sump filter is some type of synthetic, but the spin on it paper, because you don't do trans filters often, good to consider synthetic options, read that thread.

I don't know why eBay windows haven't been posting recently, search this item it is a whopping 6 bucks but erases the possibility of losing a transmision because of over tighting the plastic one. This is for the spin on.
