I have the new filters from the dealer for 2011 Ram 5 speed trans, do I have to change seal in trans body as I know they can be tough to get out or can I leave the old one in and use it without and problems if it looks okay and is a snug fit. Thank you for your answers. Third Ram since 2005 and only part I had to replace on any of them was a rear wheel speed sensor. Over 220,000 miles total on all 3 and nothing other than routine maintainance.

use oem for sump, they are synthetic, check out synthetic options with metal thread upgrade thread for rfe options... order a metal thread upgrade first before doing anything... any one would fit all rfe's, here.. If you can find a hex centered one, those are the best as in the tightest fit. the sump filter should not be hard to remove gasket. I would pass on oem canister filter, it wont filter long, go synthetic, read that thread.
