Hey there guys, hope you're all doing well.
I have kind of a strange problem with my transmission fluid level after replacing the filters and refilling the trans.
I put in about 7qts after putting the pan back on. Went on to check the fluid level but i just dont seem to get it right.
When the truck is cold, the level on the dipstick is just above the Cold Marks (motor running, trans in P)
---O---O--X
When I check in Neutral the level is in between the Cold Marks
---O-X-O---
After about 20 miles of driving I wanted to check the level at operating temp, but it doesnt really change.
In P or N it stays just above the Cold Marks in both cases
---O---O--X
When I turn off the engine the fluid level is just within Hot Marks
---OX--O---
It seems odd to me to add another 2 or 3 quarts to reach the Hot Mark.
Anyone has any suggestions? I'm already can't sleep at night with this stuff on my mind...

Thanks in advance for any help and best regards from Germany (where those Trucks are not as common as in the US, unfortunately)

Don't worry about it cold,honestly.

Check after the truck is warm on level ground, engine running, in neutral.
Don't over fill.

Allright, will do so.
I got a pretty nice diagram showing the fluid level in dependency of the temp.
