so my tranny has been slipping now for a while and has been kind of sluggish around 70 mph like she doesn’t wanna go above that well I decided to stop being a cheap ass and replace it will this help with getting past 70 easier?

Depending on if you feel like getting dirty to see if it will fix it, you can replace the front band, which is the most common cause for slipping in the 2nd gens i've seen. You'll need a new front band, angle grinder, fluid and filter.

Another possibility is the stupid adjuster likes to break and fall out. Which means the band won't be actuated properly.
