2013 ram 1500 4.7l 4WD with 65RFE trans. Original transmission went down with lots of metal in pan. Replaced with reman and 1100 miles later went into limp mode. Dropped pan and saw lots of wonderful metal flakes again. Did not overheat during those miles but had a PO934 code. Hyd pressure sensor circuit low. checked resistance and continuity from connector at PCM to sensor connector and its good. Are the 65s known for this error? reprogram needed here?

RFE needs to be reflashed after replacing if that is the question, it isnt a close call either. It wasnt even quick learned? You replaced everything? TC and Solonoid? Ask dealer if they can re learn it as well, you might get away with a relearn I'm not sure, maybe cheaper then reflash. But the truck needs to visit the dealer.

If for sure you need reflash, they will also do a relearn, it is needed if you reflash.

After dealer reflashes, drive it like a grandpa for 500 miles, not like a grandpa named earnhart, but one named walton or grandpa joe from wonka.

were the lines and transmission cooler flushed out before hooking up the reman trans? Possible the new transmission was contaminated by metal from the old trans.

What crash said. Were the lines flushed? If not flushed or they were flushed but not well and any contaminants were left and made it into the new trans that would kill it.

The lines were flushed and a new cooler was put on after install. The picture I attached was the new pan after 1100 miles. I could not imagine why the fluid looked that bad after that amount of time. No electrical issue found. Replaced line pressure sensor and speed sensors. I’ll get the pcm reflashed.

You are probably right. It was a reman transmission from Fraser but they could have cleaned up the transmission without replacing all components. It’s possible. I’ll get more information from the builder.

That pan looks like you were given a core trade in. And not a reman. IMO

They gave me a warranty reman in reimbursement for the junk they sent me before. Looks clean. Just wanted to know if anything else besides what I already checked would put out the po934 code before I reinstall. I can’t think of anything other than what I’ve already done to test wiring at pcm down to line pressure sensor connector and wires were good.
