Transmission question

Im looking at a 1997 ram 1500 4x4 with 200k on it. When the truck is put in reverse when its cold it engages smooth but after the truck warms up reverse engages hard after giving it a little gas. Also while driving the truck in drive, the truck shifts smooth untill going from 3rd to 4th, it will rev up and then go into gear but it shifts smooth. I tried to explain the best I could, if someone could help me please.

yeah sounds like rebuild time. I think mine is heading there too
