i currently have a 2014 1500 with the 8 speed transmission. The selector currently doesn’t have the option for auto 4x4. I recently came across a 2018 bezel and the selector on that has the auto 4x4 option. Can I use that with my current transmission or is that not possible .

And its the transfer case, not the transmission, that the selector controls.... in case it makes any difference.

As stated above your truck is not capable of 4 X4 Auto and it's actually good that it isn't. The 44-45 transfer case in your truck works much better than the 44-44 auto T case. That is why the Rebel and the Outdoorsman all offer the same T case that comes in your truck. There are many members that would love to be able to figure out how to run the manual 44-45 transfer case in their trucks originally equipped with the 44-44 Auto function transfer case.
