I have a 2001 dodge 2500 4x4 with a 46re transmission with a model 241 hd transfer case . can you put the 241 hd transfer case on a 46re transmission that comes with a 231 transfer case? Are they interchangable. also what transmissions from what year donor trucks will fit mine, i need a new transmission.

Yes you can as the transfer cases where the same bolt pattern. If you want the easiest swap only 2001. If you don't mind taking your harness and sensors from inside the transmission any transmission from 97 to 01 will work
