So the DiabloSport should be arriving today. Got an unbeatable price from Bully's and was just wondering some of the guys who have it, what I should do. I only have 34,000 km (around 21,000 miles) should a guy get anything checked before installing this and voiding warranty? Like transmission and such. And once I receive the tuner, is it basically "plug ad play" or do I need to download stuff off the Internet or something. Sorry for the dumb questions just want to make sure I'm not going to screw up!

Oh and its 2011 Ram 5.7 and I have the flowmaster 44 and have been running 91 octane for the last couple fuel ups. Thanks in advance guys!

Check and do the updates. Other than that it should plug and play. Choose your tune and you are set.

I could be wrong but I think when you download a tune onto your truck it saves your stock settings...so when you go into the dealership for any warranty work you should just be able to put the stock tune back on the truck and unplug the tuner...it might still leave a mark on your ECM though im not 100% sure

Once you get it, you will need to install DS Downloader onto your comp.
Once its downloaded, you will need to plug in your Tuner to make sure its loaded with the correct software that is meant for your Ram .
It will more than likely download versions and install it for all makes and models.
Let it runs its course.
Once done, take it our to your truck, plug it in and follow the steps.
It will download your original stock tune (allows you to revert back) and once that is complete, you can load the tune you want to run.

Now, I have found that the initial times it may not 'marry' as easy, but give it a few times to connect with your truck.
There are those (like me) that experienced this and then are those who have no issues.

Enjoy your tuner and keep all posted

Ok thanks fast yeah I don't have a computer :Stupid Me: trying to call some friends haha. All I have is the iPhone and iPad so I never needed a computer. But it shouldn't be long to get ahold of someone.

Lol never needed one because the smartphone and iPad did everything I ever really needed haha. And just use the girlfriends for anything else but she's out of town for the week wakeboarding.

Talk about bad timing, good luck with the download and anxious to hear some reviews.

one thing to add, once your original backup has been stored on the trinity, and the truck I'd tuned, plug it back into a computer and make a copy of your original backup and save it somewhere safe.

This is a VERY good point and man, thanks for this as ill be doing this to mine tomorrow.
That original back up tune is the safety net to always being able to revert back.

if you do any further tuning beyond the standard tuning you'll need a copy of the original backup. if for some reason the trinity gets the tunes cleared, you can reload it. Just a good safety net.

Thanks guys. Well I guess at least I got my 0-60 and 1/4 mile times stock now I can compare it to a tune.

8.91 for a 0-60
And
16.20 at 86 mph for a 1/4 mile

Stock with a muffler
Lol probably will wait for the girlfriend to get back from Winnipeg so I can have my stuff safe.

Buy a flash drive, update everything on a friend's computer and save the files to the flash drive for safe keeping.

Wow I guess car rags like Motor Trend and such really exaggerate 0-60 times. I knew this was the case but theyre claiming almost 2 seconds faster factory than you recorded! Its nice to have some kind of a bar bc I never timed a 0-60 run when I was stock. I can say you will be thrilled with the improvement once you run a performance tune. With a muffler, vararam, and Bullydog I ran a 7 second 0-60 at 9 pm in a very humid situation and a pretty bad launch with a quad cab. Post up what you run once you get a different tune in there!

Well it's in the truck now. What's everybody doing to the 91 tune to perform at max potential? I noticed a very small change in performance and different shifting but nothing to write home about yet. I never messed with any of the shift points or anything yet just want to see who has changed stuff and what to set it up like
