dodge ram 1500 4x4 slt 4.7 545rfe trans ( dropped a new rebuilt engine with 0 miles now has about 3000)
okay so about a month ago my truck didn't start one day . I changed the battery from another truck I have and it didn't seem to do anything. I rented a scan tool and it came up as " bad transmission range" so after days of researching I figured out that it needed the TRS replaced and after several trips to the auto store and a call to the dealership I realized I have a 545rfe trans . so I read on a couple forums that the TRS is part of the solenoid and I needed to replace the solenoid inside the trans on top of the valve body. so I bought a rebuilt one on ebay. 180$... plus new trans oil , filers and gasket . and after a whole day of work. ( currently have a cast on my right hand so a lot was done one handed .) I installed the new solenoid and cleaned up the connector same problem! truck still doesn't start . all the gears on the dash show lit with a square around them and once the key is in and on the start I don't need to press the brake to move the shift stick. also when I try to start the truck the ABS and BREAK lights flash and it wont start. rerented the scan tool and still shows the same code. any one have any help? would the input and output sensors or ABS sensor have anything to do with this?
