truck won't start

I have a 2009 1500 that won't start. I got in last night, turned the key and all it did was make a clicking sound. I noticed the the gear selector is saying its in reverse. When I tried shifting the indicator won't move from reverse. I thought it Could it be a dead battery because of the clicking but I'm not sure.

Could be the starter or the battery. Charge the battery then try it if not then my second guess is starter.

Definitely sounds like the battery.
