Does anyone run true duals on their Hemi? I’m thinking of running 2.5” pipe and two mufflers with an h crossover. Any downside? I’m keeping the cats on. JB

Back pressure is sort of a myth as far as need you actually need very little just enough to not over flow. It's all about velocity so you just you just have to make sure you size it right. I plan to stay na so I stayed with 2.5in pipe and will do 1 3/4 long tubes. If I were FI I would have went to 3" and 17/8 LTs. The loss ppl feel is when they go to big and velocity and scavenging slows. Think of it the Same as you would breathing thru different straws. A normal straw you'll blow let's lay 15 seconds to fully exhale and you'll feel the "backpressure" aka restriction. Then you move hope to milkshake straw let's say it take 7 seconds this time but no pressure and the air coming out will be moving fast. Now move up to a snorkel itll like take take about 2 seconds but you'll notice the air will be moving much slower. When you have a long system velocity means everything open headers dont have that issue because they instantly expel the exhaust.

Great link. Explained perfectly. How about a mid pipe conversation to stir the pot. H/x or nothing. Begin;)
Depends on your end goal. Xpipe helps a lot with scavenging more exotic tone. H helps some with scavenging but will have a deeper tone. Straight pipes of each bank is going to give a great sound but the weakest performance. A good y pipe will help as much as a h pipe.

I had an aftermarket y pipe on my 2013. Went to an x and had a huge improvement in response and acceleration.

I know this is a 3rd gen but almost I identical to what you are talking about. This is on my old 06 I had. I did 2.5 in tubing dual magnaflow bullet mufflers with H pipe. I didnt really knowtice much of a difference in power but it sounded really good.

Decided to try a 40 series single inlet/single outlet. Sounds good to me. No drone. Quiet in the cabin unless under load. Costs 70 bucks. I welded it in and deleted the rear resonators.
