I just had a new Truxedo Pro 15X installed last night and took it through a carwash to see how well it did with leaking. I know soft covers are not 100% watertight but I was curious because of the condition with the cover as shown in attached photos. At both cab-end locations, there is no velcro and that's creating a gap where water is leaking into bed. I see this as a problem driving in the rain. Does anyone else have this problem with this Truxedo model?

Advanced thanks for the input.IMG_1349.JPG IMG_1350.JPG IMG_1351.JPG IMG_1352.JPG

How does it look at the back? Is the Velcro flush with the back tailgate Velcro ?

Are you able to slide the velcro within the rail? If so just slide it forward since the back is locked down in place.

I would contact the manufacturer and supply the photos. I think it needs a minor adjustment.

Good Luck

Put on a PRO X15 couple months ago to replace a Revolver X2 that didn't hold up to Texas weather.
It does leak some at front left and right and at tailgate.
The Revolver leaked at front till I added more seal & RTV at front, still leaked at tailgate.
So I don't expect a soft cover to stop all the water.

Revolver Vinyl, felt had already unglued from underside before outside started failing.

Thanks for the replies, guys! Ramrocker, that cover looks good.

rojo: it is lifted both sides as well on the tailgate end, although not as bad.
Txhemirt: that's a great idea and one I thought of myself so props to both of us! I decided against that solution for the following:
1. Too soon since it would void the warranty
2. sliding the velcro would create a gap elsewhere - likely the other end which would worsen things at the tailgate
Silver Goose: I talked with Truxedo's customer service and sent photos. I have to send them the serial number off my unit so they can verify if it's production date and batch run included improvements.

I did ask Truxedo if sticking velcro where it's missing would negatively impact functionally when removing the cover. I was told that doing that would void the manufacturer's warranty. The problem in this application with that reasoning is funny to me.

Anyway, thanks again for the comments. I'll keep ya'll updated.

It looks like you need to increase the tension. Mine lays flat & it's not easy to lift up the corners. 518b33b44d181ff179493262274cc342.jpg97bf602cb3a2499057879e2b9e9ae10c.jpg

So Truxedo did as promised - shipping out FedEx overnight a replacement cover. This new cover fits perfectly - tight and flat at all four corners. I'm very pleased with my Truxedo X-15 Pro. Let me know if you want photos and I'll post a few here.

Cheers

I had a Truxedo cover on my old truck that was falling apart after 9 years. Called them up and they shipped out a new one after I sent them pictures! Their service is the best!

Thankfully no issues with my pro x15. It sits nice and flat all the way around.
