Trying to get prices form different dealers & it's confusing. This is what I'm looking at on the dealers web page on the Ram I'm interested in; 1) National Retail Consumer Cash $2.000 2) Retail Bonus Cash $$2000 3) CCAP Retail Bonus Cash $1000 4) Capital 2020 Bonus Cash $500. But when I look at another dealers web page it says the National Retail Consumer Cash is only $1000. And so on. Why the difference? Is there somewhere I can see all the available discounts where they are explained? One dealer lists 'Non Prime Retail Bonus Cash'. And separate from those is the 'Dealer Discount'. I'm guessing the most important thing is the 'Dealer Discount' which of course varies dealer to dealer? There're confusing me. How can I figure out what I do/don't qualify for so I can just concentrate on the 'Dealer Discount'? Thank You! Bill

Because the discount/rebate amount you are eligible for is based on where you live NOT where you buy the truck.
So the dealer will list discounts for their area, however if you are not in that zone, you do not qualify for that discount.

Thank You Graygoose & Paco! The Ram site says the discounts are only good if you take delivery before 6-30-20 & the truck I want is in 'Transit' so thats not going to happen. And It looked to me as if all the discounts were only available if you financed through Ram... I'm pre-approved so it'll be cash to them (unless the Ram rate is better than my banks rate). So I need to ask the dealer for his best OTD cash price for where I live... Thanks again! Bill

I didn't qualify for any rebates when I looked at my truck. They were offering me the special financing instead. The rebates were worth more. Plus, they didn't want to give me what I know my trade was worth. After walking away I got a call the next day. Miraculously, I got the amount of the rebates, plus, they gave me $1500 more than their trade-in offer from the day before. If they want to sell a vehicle they will shift the numbers to make it happen.

Based on the research I did when I bought my 2016, I took 25% off MSRP asked the dealer to match it. Let them do all the work of figuring out all the rebates. It worked.

Thank you Bryan & Kitk1, yes they seem to be focused on customers using the Ram financing... Giving them a percentage & letting them work it out sounds like a good idea! I've read about the discounts some are gotten & I'd go for those in a hot second. But in my case I think a huge discount will be tough. I'm pretty specific on what I want (pretty much all options available) & there are none on lots anywhere that I could find. Limited available. The only ones I'd consider are 'In Transit'. Supply & demand is working agains't me. And I don't have a lot of time either but I'll give it a shot... Bill

All that matters is the amount you need to write the chcik for when buying the truck. MSRP is a gimmick. Go off the dealer invoice which is still a lot higher than the actual cost of the truck to the dealer.

If a dealer will not provide a VIN and a solid number then move on to a different dealer. With my last truck I had to drive more than 2 hours each way to get the deal I wanted. I saved $4,000 on the purchase price and got the dealer to add $2400 in equipment with no charge (truck mirrors, bed liner, chrome side steps, diamond plate bed tool box). It was well worth my time to make the drive. But I had a written quote emailed to me with a detailed truck configuration and firm price.

Take the trade-in and financing out of the deal and look only at what they want to sell you the truck.
