Tuner for better towing?

Today's tech doesn't use "chips" anymore but they do use programmers. I'd check with Hemifever or Matt at Moe's Performance.

What size is your TT? Do you have a tow/haul button on your truck? How does it currently handle the TT?

It’s a 27’ TT 5700lbs dry , and it handles it fine on most roads but I’m heading up into the mountains and need a little extra power

You might need "a little extra rear end". Which rear end gear ratio do you have?

The rear axle is 3.55 and front only says heavy duty but I have the tow package and I beefed up the suspension as well . I also realize that the tech is no longer a chip, I’m just used to using that terminology

Yes but if it is a 4x4 you would also have to do the front.

ty i did realize that , I called the dodge dealership and they can’t find the parts to do it and I am not that handy yet anyone hook me up with a few part numbers I also read someone recommended doing to a4.10 instead of a 3.92 but that isn’t a normal option for my truck and I only have 20” wheels

They couldn't find the part numbers because that gear set wasn't an option on your truck and that's how they were looking up the parts...by truck year, model, etc... Of course they didn't find them.

You'd be better off with an aftermarket set. Got any general mechanic, truck shops, etc... in your area? Anyone who works on LD & MD trucks, diesel mod shops, etc...? That's where I'd go to get the parts and the work done.
