i have a big list going, and i have the money together. and me and a buddy had an idea of adding a turbo to my 94 dodge with a 360. i got an idea of a turbo from a 6.5. and set it somewhere under 10 pounds. and get a wastegate to make sure it doesnt go over. does anyone have ideas?

what turbo is that anyway? most turbos off of diesel trucks wont spool till way up in the rpms on a gas motor. like 3000 rpms is where they start coming in.

Compression ratio, and air/fuel ratio are the main things you need to master when adding forced induction. A high compression engine can only boost low for safety, where a low compression engine can be boosted high. A tune, fuel pump, injectors, fuel pressure regulator,etc... to match the forced air are key ingredients. I went through this learning experience on a N/A BMW a while back. I also ported and polished a turbo car in my younger days without matching the fuel and it ran like a bat out of hell for a week and then blew up.

Someone has a badass 98 Ram 360 with twin turbos in our area. I was talking to him at a swap meet one day. He said he has the boost set at 8-10 lbs, and is using turbo netics turbos with air to air intercoolers, dual wastegates and blowoff valves. The truck has a moderate cam and true dual exhaust, and is custom tuned to his engine and boost setup. This thing is fast as hell!! I swear if I ever have the cash I'm converting my Ram to a twin turbo setup. Besides being really quick, it sounds cool as **** too, lol.

I think it's a wonderful idea that I always wanted to do, I just never had the money to make it happen.

With tuning out for the '11s now... Mmmm
