I would reccomend a T76 with a .96A/R for an everyday street Truck

Took your suggestion and ordered one. Should be here Monday. I saw that it said both oil and water cooled. Where are you plumbing in for the coolant?

Easy places to take coolant from is to add a tee to the heater core lines, you can easily tap the supply and discharge lines and add some -10AN fittings onto them then connect the shortened heater core lines to those. I pulled the rear heater core connection which is a 1/2" NT threaded fitting and used a -10AN to get around the bracket on my supercharger. You can see the fitting in the 1st pic and then the push-n-lock fitting I used to connect the hose in the 2nd pic. You can do the same thing to the other side and just remove the hard tube and thread the water pump OR you can put an in-line tee with the required fitting.

I'll have to look around. I kinda want to convert as much of the tube to Braided as I can. Curious to see how long his transmission is going to hold up from daily driving and not a lot of flooring besides the dyno tunes.

Also, what do you think the likely hood of the transmission blowing on the dyno after the install if it actually puts out 650 at the wheels.

That's one hell of a engine blower bracket..lol Damn.

Do you have a 5/6 speed or the 8?

5/6 going to be toast..LOL.
8 Speed might last longer but still not have been put through the ringer to know for sure how much they can handle.

6 speed lol. Goal is to just have it stay together for 3 dyno passes.

Well looks like L&M will be getting a transmission from us. Anyone know how much he charges?

trans should hold up on the dyno as you probably won't be down shifting if you can get it to hold gears.

They transmission will hold on WOT passes from a dig and will have enough line pressure by the time everything kicks in. As long as you aren't downshifting it under load it'll survive for a while but you'll still want to look at getting that transmission upgraded in the near future. I think his pricing is around $3500 now but you'd have to contact him. I got mine for less but I got in on the ground floor with his 3rd ever and the 1st he built and shipped.

It's 4th gear, it's the 2 prime clutch pack that goes. Downside is you have to run it in 4th on the dyno since it's the 1:1 gear.

What's HP/TQ is yours rated for? Super street performance in MN wants $2700 for a 900HP/1100TQ tranny + $300 core

IMO the SSP one would be a better choice. Mine is there right now.

Mike never gave me a rating but mine's running 738/690 and his was 700+ when I last talked to him.

Only issue I have with the SSP is that he's been developing his own for a long time BUT so far I've never actually heard of one on the forums that's been installed and running big numbers for a daily driven truck. I can't say if it's better or not purely because there's no data to compare the two, but I know Mike's work great and has done so for over 2 years now.

If anyone's curious, there's a pair of 76mm .96 A/R turbos for sale on the lxforums for a good price.

Thanks, but I ended up getting one through the shop I dyno at. SSP is doing my tranny and also doing their valve body that Matt @ moes has been testing with great results. Cost was $2725 total broken down into $225 Shipping, $400 Core, $2100 Tranny and Shift Kit Rated for 1K each. Gonna order it in the next week or so once they get back to me.
