Are you using aftermarket LED bulbs?

If the truck was configured at the factory for incandescent bulbs and someone swamped the bulbs or some of the bulbs over to LEDs then yes, that could be the cause. If I remember correctly, the right rear lamps are associated with the third brake light. The circuits that drive the lights are expecting to see a certain amount of current being consumed and LEDs don't use as much as incandescents, so the module thinks you have a bulb out.

It could be the other way around, incandescent swamped in to replace LEDs. I don't remember how your trim came from the factory. There are ways to correct this but I don't have first-hand info on this but others do.

As BossHog explained well any change to the amount of current draw will cause the computer to think the bulb is out. The current won’t stop being supplied so the bulbs will flash but the improper current draw sets the light out signal.

To clear up any confusion, only your right rear turn signal does not show on the dash as being out? The two fronts and the left rear all give a bulb out indicator? All four turn signal bulbs flash outside the truck?

As was stated if you use bulbs not factory configured it will cause the hyper flash. If you have LED in place of incandescent or incandescent in place of LED you can get the bulb out message. Since the truck is new to you and you don’t know what the previous owner did I’d replace the three bulbs with the light out errors with fresh new bulbs recommended in your owners manual. That will give you a baseline to work off of unless you have access to AlfaOBD to check the BCM configuration.

Poor quality connections are the likely culprit. Mass produced LED bulbs have a tiny IC chip that is made for pennies and they fail. With incandescent bulbs it’s usually corrosion on the bulb or in the socket. Could also be a poor ground or the trucks wiring which is less likely but a possibility.

what i found on line:

"If your dashboard turn signal light is flashing rapidly while the actual turn signal lights are blinking normally, this usually indicates a faulty bulb on the side corresponding to the fast flashing dash light; essentially, the car is sensing a reduced electrical load due to the burnt bulb, causing the dashboard indicator to flash faster as a warning to replace the bulb.

Key points to remember:
  • Faulty bulb is the most common cause:
When a turn signal bulb is burned out, it disrupts the electrical circuit, leading to a faster flashing on the dashboard indicator.
  • Check all bulbs:
Even if one side appears to be working properly, check all turn signal bulbs to ensure none are nearing the end of their life.

What to do:
  • Replace the bulb: If you identify a faulty bulb, replace it with a new one of the same type.

  • Inspect wiring and connections: While less common, loose or corroded wiring related to the turn signal circuit could also cause rapid flashing on the dashboard.

  • Check the flasher relay: In rare cases, a failing turn signal flasher relay might be the culprit"
