Ok I would like to go on record and say I am not a pro detailer or have a pro garage. I do however like to make things shiny. Generally I dont like black cars, but they are sexy cleaned up. I started the detail with a heavy degreaser to get rid of any old product on my wifes car. Whwn it was dry it was aparent as to how much old product was on there.
Now when you get your Turtle Wax Jet Black kit it has 4 bottles and 2 applicators. The packaging was nice. The instructions on the product were kind of vague.
Now i will give everybody a warning. This stuff is tinted black. You will look like your hands have been in a greasy enginw bay.
The first bottle is Step 1 black pre wax cleaner. This is for fine swirls and scratches. Apply in a circular motion.
Second bottle is step 2 Black Carnuba wax. Its a black tintes carnubax wax. I will say its incredibly runny and pours quick.
Bottles 3 and 4 are black spray detailers. Just to enhance the look.
It is a fairly easy system to us. Once all done it has a nice deep shine to it. Some spots actually have a grey hue to them. Now my wifes car is a Jet blacj as nissan calls it. Just make sure you have plenty of microfiber towels handy. I tried good terri cloth and it was a ***** to get off. Back to microfiber and it came off easily. I will post some pics.
