U-connect 5.0 Question?

I have a quick question about the behavior of the radio in my 2014 Ram with a u_connect 5.0. Everytime I shut off my truck with the SXM (sat. radio) on, when I return and start the truck again it always goes back to SXM channel 1 ( the preview channel). Not a real big deal but it is quite annoying. I have spoken to the dealer and they are just telling me to wait for an update to be released. The strange thing is it was not like that for about the first month or so. Any Thoughts?

Mine doesn't do that. I wonder if there is a setting for what channel it powers on to?

Mine doesn't do that either, I scrolled through the settings as well to see if I can find something like what NY is talking about but couldn't see anything. I know somewhere on here someone posted on how to reset the radio, you wouldn't lose settings it would basically just restart it though.

Thanks, I have tried to reset the radio to "factory settings" but it does not seem to do anything, all of my channel presets and bluetooth settings remain unchanged.

It only does it during the 12-Month free intro and honestly, I almost was gonna post this topic myself but griped at work instead. Mine has been reverting to their commercial channel (#1) every time I re-start the truck since around Mid-December and it's honestly infuriating. It's only the Sirius setting. Put it on iPod, FM or AM and it re-starts where I left it.


IMHO another reason to not purchase a subscription from Sirius once the free 12 months is gone.
(Howard Stern being the other reason.)

Sirius needs to get their act straight if they want to do anything other than gain income from the share they get from initial vehicle sales. I love some of the channels but if this is how it's going to be then forget it.

One day, say every two weeks to run the ads, fine, I could see that. This, this is stupid.

My 5.0 uconnect (2013) has done it a few times. I have not flashed the update that came out last month yet.

it shouldnt matter if you are on subscription or not. the radio doesnt know the difference. its something with the radio itself.

Mine begin to do this few weeks ago, I bought my truck in december.

Also I have my phone ability to text stop working 3-5 times a week. I need to delete my phone from the uconnect.

But sometime I'm not able to delete it from the radio. Very strange....

Mine started going back to the preview channel at every restart ever since getting an upgrade during a dealer visit a number of months ago. It bothers me, but not enough to take it back to the dealer just for that. Next time there is an update or other need to be at the dealer I will bring it up with them.

I have a 2015 RA2 5.0, In my 14 truck that I upgraded to from the RA1 , and I've never had this happen , I've had it installed for about 10 months .
