Uconnect 5.0 text messages not showing up

Text messages had been working fine up until about 3 weeks ago, and now nothing. Phone (Iphone 6s), is connected via bluetooth but no text messages. What can I do to troubleshoot?

Have you tried deleting the pairing from both your phone and the radio, and then re-pairing?

My suggestion too. I've had issues like that before and un-pairing and re-pairing works quite often.

Such a hassle to make the iPhone work with this software. I switched to an android phone because nothing worked properly with the iPhone. Not once have I had an issue with anything working since switching.

Sorry this is not a post to tell you to switch to Android...just a complaint about iPhone and compatibility because if it wasn’t for these issues I would still have my iPhone 6

Just started from scratch on pairing the phone. Phonebook works, calls work, but no text messaging.

On the iphone, when you go to settings\bluetooth\Uconnect and touch the “i” do you have “Show Notifications” on? If not, that needs to be on.

I had same problem,had to delete phone completely from radio and start re-pairing process,took about 8 goes to get it too re-pair.Text messages came back

I've had a similar problem, but with my Galaxy S6 and now Galaxy S8. Everything will work just fine on initial pairing, but once I connect my phone through Bluetooth to another device (headphones, sound bar, etc), I lose the text ability.
My work around is to just not pair the phone with anything but uconnect. Not super ideal, but has worked for me.

I wonder if my fitbit blaze has anything to do with it. I'll delete that pairing and see where that gets me. Its not really a deal breaker since I can't respond to the text while I'm driving and I keep the phone on a suction mount next to the radio so I can see it when it comes in, just hate to have functionality and then lose it out of the blue.

Update: Cleared all of the saved bluetooth connections from my phone and it was working again this morning.
