Hello,
This is my first post here. I attempted to update my Canadian Uconnect 8.4 NAV system and it failed. It seems like it's stuck in a bootloop of trying to update even though it's been giving me error code 20. Initially I was on 22.6.0 and I tried to upgrade to 40.1. It didn't work so I attempted to update to 39.6 which seemed to work, but this update is what caused everything to error out. I used mpgrimm2's stuff (https://uconnect.reddinet.org/mpgrimm2/6. 2018-21 UCq Canada Updates/).
After attempting 39.6 I attempted 28.3, but that didn't work either. I then attempted 22.6 again just to go back to what I was using, but to no avail.
Everything I've seen on here says that I'm basically screwed but when I pull the battery power 3 times I can somehow force the update process again (don't ask me how it works, because I don't have the slightest clue)
Could someone please help me?

you have more than likely bricked the unit.. When their is that big of a gap in Updates its best to start from the beginning and do the next in line update and keep working up the line. What often happens is something gets changed that is not compatible with the old code and creates this issue. So you would have had something like 28 updates to do.

I was actually able to fix the problem by changing out the wireless card (see the following post)
