Uconnect Product Serial Number

How do I find the Uconnect product serial number on my 2019, 2500 Big Horn with 8.4 screen?
Also: Is there a way around paying the dealer near $700 for navigation activation. I would like the activation and not having to use my smart phone.

IMHO you’re better off using the navigation on your phone plugged into your system. Pick the app you want to use and you’re money ahead. The FCA nav will need to be updated in the future and will cost you a couple hundred dollars. And, my experience on my last two Rams was the FCA nav was not anywhere as good as Googlemaps or Waze.

That is why I specially didn’t want my 2020 to be an 8.4N or 12N...wanted just the plain old 8.4 so I could use my app which is constantly updated for free and more reliable.

And I’m also 60% deaf so a super HiFi Alpine system would be a waste on me...

Interesting! Our 2 year old Toyota Highlander has navigation and is updated without future payments, Maybe Uconnect isn't all that great.

I’ve found Uconnect to be a great system - minus the annual fee for the Uconnect service and the fee to keep the Navigation updated every two or three years...but that is typical with most GPS navigation systems.

$700?? Appears to be $445 directly from FCA but indicates is good only for 2013 to 2017 model years
