Worked on that over the weekend since everything was off for me to install my sub and amp (Im having issues with the enclosure, but will do a writeup as soon as I get everything fixed up).
I was really unliking my wood cover radio bezel (which btw was all over the car, I used a round knife to pop all of the doors and handles cover out). So I decided to stop by my nearest AutoZone and get a can of DupliColor.

Sanded the wood as good as I could:

Worked everything on light coats all over the bezel. After 3 Coats:

After 6 Coats:

And installed it back as soon as it dried:

Looks so much better imo, Im loving it.
Cant wait for the whole sound system to be installed and working great.

No. I know I should have done that, but I only had that spray can. It still looks and holds good.
I wanna get a custom Double Din one anyway when I upgrade my HU, so that is just temporary

Clear or not, it still looks nicer than the wood grain. Nice job.

Looks good to me! A tip if you're going to color-match something else.

Give it a solid base first. For Red, use a white base, the red will cover FAR better than over a dark base. (I learned this painting the taillight trim on my '99 Ram. Took like 8 coats to get one light, painted the other white first, only took 3 coats for good awesome color)

That was the first mod on my truck, wood grain is ugly in everything but a Mercedes.
Looks much better!

I guess you aren't the only one. I never really liked it until I had it in my truck. I just went out of my way to get a nav bezel in that wood grain to match the rest. :)
