Upper Glove Box Convert

Took an hour today and did the Upper Glove Box conversion...procured a lid from a 2017..was Grey painted it with black satin ...probably a tad glossier than some may like..but went well minus the ouchy too my thumb.

I keep thinking about doing the conversion, but when driving I never notice it, and the wife could care less, plus she likes to put things there like her phone when we're going somewhere.

I like the looks of the box lid. Just have to talk myself into spending the money.

Getting the right color lid is the trick...I am happy with the install..not so happy on my attempt to match color of dash.

Took lid out and repainted it...the Mopar color DX9 is the black...Krylon Fusion Flat Black is pretty damn close...so...painted it with the Krylon..3 coats. Before and after.

Maybe it's just the picture, but I honestly, I think it looks worse now. At least when it was black it was a contrasting color to the rest of the dash. And there are other areas of the dash that are black, like the radio surround. The new color just looks to me like the lid faded differently than the rest of the dash.
