I have a couple things hanging near my rearview mirror, that run cables down to below the uConnect in my '18. I have the cables hidden by the headliner, and the A pillar on the passenger side, but just running "above" the hinge on the upper glove. I've pulled the facia from the uConnect 8.4 a couple times now (Stupid LG Screen SL01 melting...) so I'm not worried about that, but I want to hide the cables better, and also not against something my wife opens a lot (She puts her **** in there for when she rides with me, so opens it a couple times every time she is in the truck, which is also how we move the whole fam, so a couple times a week minimum.) Also hate having the 2 wires "run over" the dash at the passenger "outer" HVAC vent, as one of the cables I extended, and just had silicon Red/Black paired wire handy, so it doesn't blend with the black dash. (It's WAY better than dropping straight down from the mirror to the console, but...)
I'm not afraid of a little work, but I don't want to have to pull the whole GD dash off the truck to do it, and the other wire is for my dash cam, and I don't think it's long enough to go BELOW the dash, and then chase up the side of the dash, to the A pillar, to the center of the top windshield. I also want to not have to disassemble the whole dash AGAIN, when I have to replace the dash cam, or when I don't need the dual camera system for the kids car seats anymore.

So what exactly are you trying to accomplish? Do you have pictures of the wires you are trying to hide in their current state?

You were so close! Now I see your issue... Ok, if you open the passenger door, there is actually a little access/sail panel you can pop out in the in the corner of the dash (only visible with door open). With that panel open you can actually access the bottom of the A-pillar (and the dash speaker if you ever need to run wires there). You will also want to remove the lower glove box and then you will ruin the wires behind the lower glove box to the radio. Is everything you are trying to use USB power or is it a mix of adapters (USB and Cigar lighter power)?

The best method is to find longer cables or a way to extend your current cables so you can route the wires under the lower glovebox. When you pull of the A pillar fascia that houses the airbag there are areas you can route the cables down below the dash. Plenty of areas under the lower dash to safely route the cables to the center stack. Unfortunately without longer cables you’re stuck.

I know about the little side panel, and I've actually pulled the A pillar cover of a couple times. Also forgot I can just drop the lower glove box, and then I have some space under there. But one is a 12v cigarette lighter adapter with a fixed cable, the other is a USB to 12v adapter I got, when I broke the old 12v adapter trying to figure out how to extend it.

Perfect! So do you still have the old broken outlet by chance?

Nah, tossed the $8 POS. The internal plastics broke that separated the center pin from the "side" contacts. Like I opened the clamshell carefully, and plastic bits just rained out. (5+ years of electronics repair, a basically clipped clamshell is not a challenge. The plastic was already toast for some reason.)

But I have a plan, that I think will work, be clean, neat, and practically invisible.

Once I find time...

Got it, I thought you were looking for ideas so that's why I was chiming in. My dash is hiding loads of stuff (too much to be pretty) so I was just throwing in my 2 cents...

I may have a suggestion ..

You would be surprised how few Wires run down the A pillar on the passenger side.

I found that the A pillar on the Drivers side was stuffed with wiring.

I ran my CB Radio antenna wire down the passenger A pillar, then above the upper glove compartment to the Center Stack & down to the Floor Console

When i did the same thing on my 2009 Dodge Ram,
i removed the lower glove compartment & then i looked up at the bottom of the Upper Glove compartment.
There was a single screw that held the actual upper glove box in place

I hadn't thought about running UNDER the lower glove compartment, so was trying to think of how to hide them BEHIND the upper, so wasn't sure how to make use of the "side" panel on the dash. :)

I've been in the passenger A Pillar at least 2 times, and I know it has the space, I was just trying to think of HOW to GET to the A pillar. :angels2:

Getting to the A pillar from the center windshield/mirror area? I typically bundle the wires together and use a few decent size zip ties to keep them together. Leave the tails on and insert the zip tie tail end first at the gap between the windshield and headliner. The zip tie tail will stick in the gap really well and hold the wire neatly out of sight around the upper windshield. Feel feee to stuff the wires in as far as you can along the windshield under the headliner. The headliner has more give than you may think.

If you have the A-pillar cover off maybe go one step further and pop off the right side kick panel. Should be able to drop the wire all the way down to the floor then route it behind the glove box

On my Pacifica I made a Y cable charging adapter extension to move/add some charging ports down to the floor. You could probably do something similar and use the cigar outlet like I did for power. The adapters and PINs were dirt cheap on AliExpress.

Just tuck the charger away behind the radio and your good to go...
