USB move to dash

Hi all, I have a 2018 Ram 1500 and really don't like the usb being in the arm rest. I was wondering if anyone in here has installed a usb hub in the dash that will still allow you to still be able to use CarPlay?

You could install a factory port in the dash and the move the mini-USB cable to that port, there's a connection right under the edge of the dash under the console.
Another option would be to use a wireless adapter for CarPlay, then you don't need to plug the phone in. I use one for my Android, nice not having to plug the phone in.
