good find. i have a 2013 express with uconnect 3.0. i have a USB in my center console that does nothing with my Galaxy but with my sons iphone it plays songs through the stereo using my radio knobs. i tried connecting a flash drive in that port but it does nothing. will the USB under the dash act any differently if i have it? i'm considering getting an iphone next just to listen to music. i drive 100 miles a day and my truck has no CD player and i don't want Sirius and the regular radio sucks.

Hello, I have a 2011 Laramie Longhorn and the usb connector in my glove box stopped working. I was hoping to pick up a new cable to see if that was the problem before attacking the uconnect controller. I have seen a few references to 82212160 usb cable but the part numbers seem to map to the second cable below with the circular rubber grommet rather than the black box version that I have. Any idea about a part number or where I could get one? I would check with the dealer but my experience has been that they will suggest replacing the entire entertainment system at some crazy price.

someone has photos of where it is installed in the glove compartment or it is just an extension to add where we want

Left upper corner in the glove box, at least that was where mine was in my 2012

Here is a pic of where it is in my 2012 Express with uConnect...I just pulled the whole upper glovebox door and insert and put the open bin back in to sell the truck.

Are you looking for the location of the USB and power wires for the light? Or a part number for the bin?

I think the 13+ does not have a media usb if not a load because the media is built into the center console
