USB ports

2017 Ram laramie---has 2 usb ports---one in the console and one on the dash---one in the console will play my mp3 player one on the dash doesn't--is this correct--waiting on dealer to call me back with answer--but time is running out for the day---any help is appreciated--thanks

Same here. Dash port charges only.

no data transfer on the port in the dash, its strictly a usb power supply

Both of the USB ports on my Laramie are in the top console tray, along with an AUX. One USB does players/sticks while the other is a charger.

In the dash I have an inverter plug which I think replaces the dash USB.
