used 2018 Laramie keyfob

Recently picked up a 2018 Laramie, the dealership only provided one keyfob, its the standard layout but the remote start doesn't work like nothing happens when double tapping it. I didn't notice this till way after and im just trying to figure out options.

Do most models come with remote start? or is it optional even tho keyfob has the indication of it? My previous car was a Chrysler 300 and remote start was flawless never had issues.

One quick way to verify is check the hood latch. If you see a connector with 2 wires coming out then you'd have remote start. It's possible that the remote start button is bad or you are double clicking to fast or the battery in the fob needs to be replaced. Depending on what your dealer would charge you for a new fob you can either purchase a new oem one from Benny at all Mopar parts (vendor here) or what other's have done is purchased one's off Amazon (I know there is a link floating around for the best or known working one's) and use alfaobd to program them yourself.
