Used remote start but could not drive away

So I finally picked up my '14 Laramie. Tried out the remote start tonight. When I got in the truck it would not let me drive away. I put my foot on the brake pedal and hit the start button and the truck would not shift out of park. It jus kept on running. I also couldn't re-lock the doors. I had to wait until the time ran out and the engine shut off before I could start it normal and drive away.

Just push the button when you get in. No brake.

On mine I have to put my fob in and then just tap the brake once or the engine will shut off.

Used remote start again this morning. Everything went normal. Started truck, went outside took out the trash, jumped in the truck and pressed on brake and start button and lights came on and seat moved forward to saved position. Don't know what I did wrong last night. But am glad that it was only a 10 min wait.

Great news. I just push the button when I get in. Don't have to push on the brake. Only when I go to start it I have to push on the brake first.

A couple of times I've remote started and when I got in if hit the start button, watched it go to start, but the truck didn't activate the evic, saved seat position, etc. I've had to hit the button again. This has only happened a couple of times, in almost a year that I've owned my truck, so I haven't really worried about it.

I had similar problems. Make sure you don't have your key fob in the same pocket as your cell phone. Might sound silly but try it and see for yourself. I figured it out one morning with my keyless entry.
