I've got a 99 s10 that's just a waste of time and money that I'm planning on getting rid of and I'm looking at a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 single cab 2wd that needs a new engine. I've got a 97 Dodge Ram 1500 extended cab 2wd that I bought as a parts truck for my parents with a V8, and I need to know if I'd be able to bolt the transmission from the v6 straight to the v8 or if I'd need to do anything special. Thanks for any help.
