Does this tranny temp seem high to y'all?
I'm in Louisiana and it is about 80deg today. I just went for an hour or so round trip drive and this was my temp.

Is yours an 8 speed? The 8 speeds have an intercooler to keep them at 190º so 177º doesn't seem bad.

As long as you aren't seeing temps over 200*, you are good to go.

I have the 6 speed. When I bought my truck they didn't tell me the 8speed would be available anytime within the next year. They left that out to make a sale that day I'm sure....
The highest it reached was 181degs.

These 4th gens stay cool. I can tow for hours and it stays really cool even when it is close to 100 degrees out. That seems a littler high without a trailer but probably normal with hot weather.

The hottest I have ever seen was 181, and that was yesterday while towing a 8.5 x 20 enclosed trailer through some ****** hills, up/down, engine braking, and lots of shifting for tight corners. I normally run just around 130.

2 hour trip and 2 hours back.
I never exceeded 156deg.
It gets warm in town when it's hot though. About 165on average.
Right now I'm in some early morning traffic and stuck at a red light.
It's reading 161-163
