2016 Ram 2500 w/ UConnect 8.4 AN.
I discovered that the EVIC voice commands like "tune to 100.9 FM" ,"Play artist Merle haggard" or "set driver's temp to 70" will not work if I have my Iphone paired and connected via Bluetooth. If I turn the phone off or turn off the phone's Bluetooth, the voice commands are possible again. Is there any way to have the phone paired and still use voice commands ? Thnx

Pushing the "phone" button

I found out the trick. When the Iphone is paired I CAN push the steering wheel phone button to get Siri to make calls AND still give commands to the truck itself, like " tune 100.9 ". It all depends on how long you push & hold the button. Pushing the button quickly and releasing it gives you the truck commands. If you push the button & hold it down long enough to hear the "SIRI" beeps, you are able to tell the Iphone to text or call any number/contact. Its all in the time you hold the button.
8.4 UConnect still will not read incoming texts, but it sends them just fine. Hope this helps someone. Had me baffled for 10,000 miles.
