2014 3500 Cummins. Several times over the past few weeks, go out and start the truck when it’s fairly cool (10 deg F) not having been plugged in. Truck immediately turns over not waiting for the pre heat cycle. Outside temperature is accurately reflected in the dash/radio areas so assume the temp sensor is correct. Can’t really find much info on how this system works. Thoughts?

Thanks

Chris

Maybe the solenoid for the heater grid is not working?

You need to wait for the WTS light (little coil icon in the instrument display) to turn off after the key is turned to the run position before actually cranking the starter.

Did you ever figure out what the problem was?
