Hey all -
Recently purchased a 2015 RAM and am building it out for long range camping / expedition travel and some trail running / mild offroading.
I've got the Icon Stage 2 kit on its way with Icon upper control arms (shout out to Nick @ Got Exhaust). I will likely lift a bit and then level it off. I'm also looking to add new wheels and tires to the truck and am trying to decide which set to go with so would love opinions. In terms of upcoming upgrades to it so you can visualize it, I will be removing the front bumper and replacing it with the AEV front bumper (black) and likely replacing the back bumper with an ADD rear bumper (black). I will keep the bed cover and add a utility rack from KB Voodoo for tent and tools. Steps coming off, sliders going on.
The wheels I am looking to add are likely 18" set so that I can put a 33" - 34" tire on and have the ability to air down. Curious your thoughts:
Was all about the Vapor's but am starting to lean towards the Vector's. Also, in regards to these in 18", I am looking to get a 33" to 34" tire. What the hell size tire do I need? I don't understand why it's so complicated, and yes, I read the sticky.
For tires, this is a daily driver that I put about 25,000 miles per year on. Debating between the Toyo Open Country A/T II, the General Grabber ATX, General Grabber A/T II or the Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac. Interested in opinions if anyone has them. Want to ensure my commute stays reasonable but that the tires are also reliable for trips / trails.
Appreciate y'alls insight. Picture of the truck as it sits now.
